Part 1 – What Do We Do With Your Information?

When you make a purchase from our store, we collect the personal information you provide as part of the buying and selling process, such as your name, address, and email address.

When you visit our store, we also automatically receive your computer’s IP address. This helps us learn about your browser and operating system.

Email marketing, if applicable: With your permission, we may send you emails about our store, new products, and other updates.

Part 2 – Consent

How do you give consent?

When you provide personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange delivery, or return a purchase, you consent to us collecting and using that information for that specific purpose only.

If we ask for your personal information for another reason, such as marketing, we will either ask you directly for your explicit consent or give you the option to say no.

How do you withdraw consent?

After opting in, you may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at info@tryclauda.com.

Part 3 – Disclosure

We may disclose your personal information if we are legally required to do so, or if you violate our Terms of Service.

Part 4 – Shopify

Our store is hosted by Shopify Inc. Shopify provides us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.

Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases, and general Shopify application. Shopify stores your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, Shopify stores your credit card information. This information is encrypted according to the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your transaction data is stored only as long as necessary to complete your purchase. After the transaction is complete, your transaction information is deleted.

All direct payment gateways follow PCI-DSS standards, managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which includes brands such as Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

PCI-DSS requirements help ensure that our store and service providers handle credit card information securely. For more information, you can also read Shopify’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

Part 5 – Klarna

To offer Klarna payment methods, we may share your personal information with Klarna during checkout, including contact and order details. This allows Klarna to assess whether you qualify for their payment methods and to tailor them to you.

Your personal data will be processed in accordance with Klarna’s own Privacy Policy.

To offer Klarna and Billpay payment options, we may share your contact and order information with Klarna and Billpay at checkout. Your personal data is processed in accordance with applicable data protection laws and as described in Klarna’s and Billpay’s privacy policies.

Section 6 – Third-Party Services

In general, third-party service providers used by us will only collect, use, and disclose your information to the extent necessary to provide their services to us.

However, certain third parties, such as payment gateways and payment processors, have their own privacy policies regarding the information we must provide to them for purchase-related transactions.

We recommend that you read their privacy policies so you understand how your personal information is handled.

Please note that some providers may be located in a different jurisdiction than you or us. If you complete a transaction using a third-party service provider, your information may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where that provider or its facilities are located.

For example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway in the United States, your personal information may be disclosed under US law, including the Patriot Act.

Once you leave our store’s website or are redirected to a third-party website or application, you are no longer governed by this Privacy Policy.

When you click links in our store, they may direct you away from our website. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of other websites and recommend that you read their privacy policies.

Our store uses Google Analytics to track who visits our website and which pages are viewed.

Section 7 – Security

To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered, or destroyed.

When you provide us with your credit card information, it is encrypted using Secure Socket Layer technology, also known as SSL, and stored with AES-256 encryption.

Although no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, we follow all PCI-DSS requirements and other generally accepted industry standards.

Section 8 – Cookies

Section 10 – Changes to This Privacy Policy

We reserve the right to modify this Privacy Policy at any time, so please review it regularly.

Changes and clarifications take effect immediately after they are posted on the website. If we make significant changes to this policy, we will notify you so you know what information we collect, how we use it, and under what circumstances we may use and/or disclose it.

If our company is acquired or merged with another company, your information may be transferred to the new owners so we can continue selling products to you.
